OUR PHILOSOPHY
Above all, Club 56 is a relational ministry. We value relationships over programs. A flashy program may draw students, but meaningful relationships will keep them. To fulfill this purpose, we find staff that love God, love kids, and have time available to nurture relationships with students. We encourage our staff to organize their own social events with their small group of students with the intention being to foster personal relationships. We believe students will learn a great deal more from someone who has invested the time and demonstrated that they truly care for them.
Our Theme Verse
I Timothy 4:12 “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set and example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.”
OUR MISSION
We exist to REACH students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teach them how to HONOR God with their lives, CONNECT them with others in meaningful relationships, challenge them to GROW toward spiritual maturity, and equip them to SERVE God and others.
OUR KEY CONVICTIONS
* Club 56 students matter to God.
* Biblical truths must be expressed in a contemporary manner, relevant to Club 56 students’ daily lives.
* Adolescents benefit greatly from having a “significant other adult” in their lives.
* Gifted and relational small group leaders are the critical factor in reaching adolescents.
* To effectively present the Gospel to adolescents, we must help meet their felt needs to express themselves, have fun, expend a lot of energy, find some degree of relational security, and explore relationships.
OUR VALUES
*God's Word
*Jesus Christ and the saving, growing, exciting relationship He extends to us.
* God’s grace, mercy and love that He desires to see expressed in those around us.
* The exciting stage of life called adolescence.
* The importance of honoring all those who cross our paths.
* Teamwork and appreciating differences and similarities God has placed or allowed to develop in all of us.
OUR GOALS
1. That each student is known by someone
2. That each student would feel Loved and Accepted
3. That each student is growing in 3 key areas
*IN their Head-Knowledge of the Gospel
*IN their Heart for God
*IN their ability to be a servant to others
